Description

Cotswold Puppy Beef and Tripe is an 80/20 meal and is made in the Cotswold from quality British meat and seasonal vegetables. The food contains nothing but the finest, freshest, human grade ingredients, and has absolutely nothing added to it that is not on the label.

The food is a complete puppy recipe which has the ideal calcium to phosphorous ratio for young puppies. It also contains Diaturm which is a natural supplement with organic turmeric and freshwater food-grade diatomaceous earth. Both are widely used to promote gut health instead of using toxic chemicals.

Puppies need both the right type and right amount of food during the development. They need protein to build growing bodies and calcium for developing bones. However, both need to be regulated as excess energy and excess calcium can cause development disorders in the puppies. It may seem counter-intuitive that puppies can have too much of a good thing. However, a high energy diet increases their growth rate and can lead to a mis match of bone to body growth. A puppy should be fed approximately the same amount of food as it will need as an adult or, if you don’t know the ideal adult weight, use a guideline of 10% of the puppy’s current weight. Monitor and weigh the puppy every couple of weeks to ensure he or she is developing appropriately.

Dogs can develop intolerances to individual protein sources (especially chicken), it is recommend feeding a varied diet of different recipes. Dogs also can get bored with the same old stuff even when it tastes as good as Cotswold Raw! Also, some of the recipes in Cotswold do not contain bone and it is recommended that you vary the diet with a recipe that does or, alternatively, giving a raw meaty bone for nutritional and recreational purposes at regular intervals

Feeding guide:

While your puppy is growing, he or she will need several meals a day. Whether or not you feed an adult dog more than once a day is up to you. A dog’s digestive system is designed to have periods of plenty and then time off.

Being a fresh product once defrosted, keep for 48-72 hours in a refrigerator. This meal should be fed raw. Thoroughly defrost food before serving.

Always remember good hygiene practices, handle as you would any other raw meat. Wash hands and utensils after handling.
